Seeking An Out of this World Love?

You are Loved!

That is not a mistake!  Despite our failed past experiences, or our current bad relationship, we are nevertheless loved beyond measure.  Where is this love and how can I find it?  Deep inside, we all seek to find an “out of this world” love, but it seems all we experience in this world is rejection, frustration, disappointment and suffering!  Often times, our eagerness to love and to be loved leads us to making bad decisions and we are left unfulfilled, cheated and disappointed.  How can we desire “Love” if the object of our desire doesn’t seem to exist? in Dream of Saturn by QAuZ at

The world will hate those that are not of the world!  Deep down you may feel lonely, outcast, rejected, unwanted and abused physically, mentally and emotionally!  You may feel you don’t fit in, are not listened to and quickly forgotten about!  You may feel empty, drained, unwanted and angry but this is not you!  You may feel a void in your life, that something is missing.  You feel as though you are made for someone or something greater!  You are created for something bigger than the world!  You are created to give and receive Love. You are created by and made for God!

“If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.” ~ John15:19

We fill our lives and hearts with a lot of excess baggage trying to fill this void.  We seek to make ourselves happy by indulging in food, alcohol, sex, entertainment, drugs and whatever else we can use to soothe and numb this emptiness  only to leave ourselves with a greater desire .  We try to replace God with false gods, our own images of god and “material things” trying to drown out our need for the One, True God. Our lives become unmanageable and we slowly realize that everything we try to do to make ourselves happy just does not work.

“I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!” ~ John16:33

God loves you more than you can humanly imagine! Even after all the times we rejected him and refused his plan for us he still calls us to be with him.   Remember this though, there is no love without sacrifice, so God humbled himself and by the power of the Holy Spirit became man in the person of Jesus for you!  He was rejected by the same world that rejects you!  He was crucified by the same world that crucifies you and was buried by the same world that wants to bury you!  Christ did this for the sake of the world but the world rejected Him!  The Good News is this: You are not of the world!

“Whoever does not Love does not know God, for God is Love” ~ 1John:8

The Good News is Christ has chosen you!  He has come to redeem you from the world and Love YOU!  You belong to Him and He belongs to you!   The Lover came seeking His beloved and the world tried to stop Him, but Love is greater! Christ conquered the world by perfectly loving God and giving himself up for You on the cross! God knew this would happen and He did it anyway! For You! Now, you can become a brand new creation with HIM, free from the bondage of sin and eternal death and live with Christ forever in the Loving presence of the Holy Trinity!  Perfect love loving perfectly!  But, the choice is yours.  God will never force you to accept this love, it is always a gift to receive.

“There is no fear in love.  But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.  The one who fears is not made perfect in love.  We love because he first loved us.” ~ 1John14:18-19

If this all sounds too good to be true, well, That’s LOVE!  Love has a way of giving new life to old things. Love will empower us to do something new, think new ways and speak gentle words. Love will lift us up, and redeem us! Love will make us joyful, faithful and hopeful!  Love will fill your heart with abundance to overflowing. Have you ever been around someone you loved and didn’t dote over them trying to make them happy?  Well, God does this for you!

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things”. ~ 1Corinthians13:4-7

Love is a relationship you have to put effort into! It’s not easy at times and we will all struggle, but nothing worthwhile ever comes easy! A true, supernatural love is not of this world, it is a gift from God, and it is yours, if you accept it. Turn away from those sins in your life that control you, that weigh you down and make your life confusing! We all heave them but God wants us to repent of them and be free from them! Why? Because sin in our lives will lead us away from God and straight to eternal death! God does not want to lose you! Remember, true love requires sacrifice!

“This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.” ~1John3:10

If you are not baptized, do it!  Our baptism brings us into the loving family of God, the Church!  Yes, true Love is a communion of persons.  Through Baptism we are forgiven of all those sins that separate us from God, one another and sins that have tortured us all our lives!  Baptism cleanses us and makes us children of God, one in Christ and marks us as one of His own!  Baptism is a beautiful thing! It is your “Yes” and acceptance to His Love!  The Holy Family of God, both in the Church on earth and in heaven with all the angels and saints, rejoices when one is baptized and enters into the family.

therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens of the saints and members of God’s household” ~ Ephesians2:19

If you have not been to a Catholic Church, Go!  Talk to a Priest.  The Catholic Church is the body of Christ!  It is the Bride of Christ! The Catholic Church has been here for two thousand years and can trace its lineage of Bishops back to the apostles themselves.  Jesus said the Church is His beloved spouse and you can’t separate yourself from this body! The two of you, you and the Church, become one in Christ and it is only by loving God and loving others that we do his perfect will! The body is full of sinners and saints and we are not perfect! The Church is made Holy only in the merits of Christ!  Stop judging the Catholic Church for the sins of her people and start perfecting your love for God in His One, Holy, Church.

“You have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to myriads of angels in joyful assembly, to the congregation of the firstborn, enrolled in heaven.” ~ Hebrews12:22-23

Receive the Sacraments! The Sacraments are the ordinary channels of grace that Christ has instituted and given to the Catholic Church to save souls! The protestant churches have rejected all but two of the sacraments, but the Good News is the Catholic Church still has all seven original sacraments; Baptism, Confirmation, Reconciliation, the Eucharist, Holy Matrimony, Holy Orders and Anointing of the Sick. This is the reason I did not suggest going to a protestant church.  You need the fullness of truth and love without anything taken away from you.  Love demands not withholding anything from the other.  These Sacraments strengthen our love and gives us greater grace so we can become more full of love like those that are now experiencing the fullness of Gods love in Heaven!

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me.” ~ Rev3:20

If you desire Love, true, supernatural Love, then put all your heart, mind and soul into it!  God promises you a Love that surpasses all knowledge!  What are you waiting for?  An out of this world Love, awaits!

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” ~ John3:16
